It is time for a new PC
After my computer crashed during last weekend i decided to upgrade the whole system:
Following configuration will be then state-of-the-art:
AMD BE 955 3,2 Ghz Quad-Core CPU
4GB Kingston Ram Single-Module (which is compatible with the board according to MSI)
MSI 790FX – Board, Crossfire-Ready (i probably will not use it, i do not gaming on extreme level)
Saphire 5750 Graphics-Board 1GB DDR5 Ram
HDD´s and power-supply are allready there
OS WinXP 32-bit will run on the system but it´s modern architecture allows Win 7 (32 or 64-bit if needed) – so it will be open for an OS-switch in the future.
I am also very interested in the performance when i recording some stuff with all the plugins on every recording-chanel (reverb, compression, delays … in short terms – every kind of FX)
it has been always a pain in the as with my old computer lacking CPU-Power
On the other hand it cost me some money which i saved during the month for a new synthesizer – but what the heck …
sure, a new synth is needed for different sounds than the Waldorf´s and also my DIY-projects have to be put on hold for a while.
